Student Learning Resources During the School Closure
March 23, 2020Our school continues to remain closed until April 5, 2020 at the direction of the Ontario government, amid ongoing concerns of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The health and well-being of our students is our top priority; we hope our families are well and we look forward to seeing everyone back at school soon.
In the meantime, the Ministry of Education has launched Learn At Home, which is a new online portal that families can use to continue learning at home.
We also remind our IET families that at the beginning of the year, our librarian Kate Tuff shared a Virtual Library Learnmark. This Learnmark includes passwords to the TDSB Virtual Library, which contains a multitude of online learning resources, such as ebooks and databases for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12. To access an online version of the Learnmark, scroll to the top of the Virtual Library's webpage where it says: "Using these resources at home?".
Our staff at has also compiled a Bloorview School Online Learning Resource document. These sites include links for movement, mindfulness, music, literacy, numeracy and STEM. We have an additional resource specifically for Early Years.
We will continue to keep families updated as more information is shared with the Ministry of Education and Public Health Ontario.
